Dan Hilker was named the new Director of Golf at The Pfau Course at Indiana University in November 2022. Dan is a PGA Professional with 34 years of experience as a golf facilities manager. Prior to being named to his position at Pfau, he was highly successful while leading teams at high-profile resort, private, semi-private and municipal courses in South Carolina, Missouri, Kentucky, and right here in Bloomington, Indiana.
Among Dan’s notable stops:
- Director of Golf at The Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark, Missouri, a 36-hole, Troon Golf Resort facility
- Director of Golf at Cascades Golf Course in Bloomington, Indiana
- Head Golf Professional/Owner at The Links at Lily Creek Resort in Jamestown, Kentucky
- Head Golf Professional/General Manager at The Links at Lost Plantation in Rincon, Georgia
- Head Golf Professional/General Manager at The Founders Club in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina
As noted, Dan previously spent nearly five years in Bloomington from 2004-08. He and his wife, Kim, also developed a love for the Bloomington and IU community. Their time in Bloomington was cut short, though, when his family needed him to return home to run the family business in Macon, Mo., which he did for the better part of a decade.
Dan ultimately returned to the golf course management field in 2017, and is excited to be back in Bloomington to lead the highly-accomplished staff at one of the top golf courses in the country.
